Jontsil PU (PG)
A single component, polyurethane based, elastomeric joint sealant shall be JONTSIL PU (PG). It is based upon polyurethane resins. The product shall exhibit excellent bonding. The product shall have elongation up to 600% & modulus of elasticity approximately 0.25 N/mm2.
1.Joint sealant for walls and ceilings. 2.As a sealing compound for aluminium window and ACP sheet joints. 3. Joint sealant for expansion joints in buildings and civil works. 4.Interior and exterior use. 5. For use on joints with up to 20% movement. 6. Sealant for prefabricated concrete elements. 7. For use in permanently submerged surfaces. 8. For internal floor joints. 9. For medium chemical and mechanical loads.
1.High resistance to weather and ageing. Resistant in tropical climates. 2. Excellent recovery capacity. 3. Does not harden over time, even at temperatures between –30°C and + 80°C. 4. Excellent UV resistance, does not exhibit thermos plasticity (does not soften with heat). 5. Minimum tendency to staining/plasticiser migration. 6. User friendly – excellent extrude-ability/gun-ability. 7. Single component, easily applied.
Actual coverage of JONTSIL PU (GG) is depending upon dimension of the joint. Again to ensure long term performance the depth of the joint should be designed to be approximately half of the width especially on joints >25mm wide. (See table below)
